How to achieve Excellence in Management

The following are the vital points to ensure excellence in management.

  • Make every effort to make employees work ‘with you’ than work ‘for you’.
  • As much as possible, use the words ‘please’ ‘I am sorry’ ‘Thank you’. You have done a good job. Motivating your employees enhances their efficiency.
  • Be kind and generous in your dealings.
  • Recognize ‘human dignity’ and self-responding of each employee.
  • Create and promote congenial environment for everyone in your organization. Avoid double standards i.e. one for workers and one for management.
  • Create a confidence among the employees that you are there to come to their rescue in an emergency.
  • Do not talk ill of anybody behind his back.
  • Think of making changes whenever necessary in every part of your organization. It is not necessary that you should continue the old methods forever.
  • Celebrate the birthday of each employee by offering greetings.
