The Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft since 2002, is a nationally recognized private art school in Alfter in Bonn .

Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft was founded in 1973 is a free, anthroposophic emerged focused art study center and keeps the tradition of a cross-functional upright connection of artistic activities. Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft is active in the fields of art and science of teaching and research. Since January 2003, the financial statements of the art courses at the University Alanus are equivalent to those of state colleges and art schools. Since 2006, the degrees in science courses are equivalent to those at universities. In May 2010, was the institutional accreditation by the College of Alanus Science .

The namesake of the university is the philosopher Alan from Insulis (around 1114-1203), who at the School of Chartres taught. Among the sponsors of the Academy include the following: Alnatura , dm-drugstore market , Software AG Foundation.
