The Arts et Métiers ParisTech is a prestigous engineering school. Arts et Métiers ParisTech has trained over 85,000 engineers since its foundation in 1780 by the Duke of Rochefoucauld Liancourt. Arts et Métiers ParisTech is a “Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional institution” (EPCSCP) under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. ‘

Library
In addition to its head office, Arts et Métiers ParisTech has eight Teaching and Research Centers (CER) and three Institutes. All the Centers and the Chambéry Institute have their own libraries, housing books and specialist journals relevant to the subjects taught at Arts et Métiers ParisTech. The libraries are united within a Joint Documentation Service. The Service decides on acquisitions of electronic resources (databases, periodicals, dictionaries etc.) and manages the shared on-line catalog.
