The aims of scientific, research and development activities are connected with the determination of strategic mission of the Banking Institute/ College of Banking to serve the needs of a financial institution. The main task is to systematically develop and provide the comprehensive knowledge fund of financial services and relevant economic and legal knowledge in the field of theoretical and practical knowledge for the education and activity of financial institutions.
The achievement of this task is based on the collection and evaluation of international and local knowledge in the field of theory and practice, on the evaluation of research tendencies and analyzing the information, which are important for the development of the financial institutions activity. This activity presupposes high requirements especially for the rational targeting of research and development for application needs.
The output of Bankovní institut vysoká škola and its exceptional readiness has met the high requirements of banks and other institutions. BICB scientific research covered the thematic scope of banking from 1995-98 by the publishing of 26 manuals in the form of education scripts. Further on these materials are revised and reedited again. At the same time our school has prepared and published the range of other books. With the following updating and reediting of books, which contain BIBC information on the specific position of the accessible literary sources in the Czech Republic, the school manuals cover the full thematic scope of the banking sphere and provide its theoretic guidelines which are directly used in practice.
