Benedictine College is located in Atchison, Kansas on a beautiful 120 acre campus on the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River. The college’s commitment to the development of the individual within community provides our students with the principles, knowledge and skills for a life of learning, leadership and service, “that in all things God may be glorified.”

Benedictine College is rated one of America’s Best Colleges by U.S. News & World Report. The Cardinal Newman Society lists Benedictine College as one of America’s Best Catholic Colleges in their collegiate guide. Alumnae Wangari Maathai ’64 won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004, making Benedictine College the only Catholic college in America to graduate a Nobel Peace Laureate. Benedictine College was named a “best buy in faithfulness and affordability” by the Center for the Study of Catholic Higher Education. Benedictine College ranks first in the Midwest Master’s category for alumni giving by U.S. News & World Report. Of the 572 U.S. Master’s universities surveyed, Benedictine College ranks sixth nationwide. In June, 2010, the college broke ground on a state-of-the-art academic center to be completed in Fall 2011.  The Investing in Excellence campaign, launched in 2005, is the most successful campaign in the history of the college, raising over $52.5M, with an additional $3.1M to be raised for the completion of the new academic center.
