Banha University is an Egyptian university in the Egyptian city of Banha, the capital of Al Qalyubiyah governorate.

Benha University was a branch of Zagazig University since 1976 with Presidential Resolution no. “1142″ in 25/ 11/ 1976 and it includes five faculties (Agriculture in Mochtohor – Engineering in Shubra – commerce, medicine and education in Benha) – and then the Ministerial Resolution no. “278″ for the year 1981 was issued for the establishment of the faculties of Science and Arts in Benha, and Veterinary Medicine in Mochtohor.

The future vision of Benha University lies in reaching a globally advanced level and participating effectively in leading the development movement.

Mission
Benha University aims at providing outstanding educational systems to prepare qualified graduates for competition in the labor market locally, regionally, or globally; to prepare the innovative, creative researchers to upgrade the Egyptians’ scientific, cultural, and social structure; and to direct research plans for serving the society and the environment and contributing in pushing the development wheel.
