Brunel University is based on a self-contained campus in Uxbridge, on the western edge of London. Brunel is a campus-based university, and students on site are never more than 10 minutes away from halls of residence, catering, social and sports facilities, lecture theatres, the Library, the Computer Centre or welfare services.
Brunel University has become as well-known and respected in engineering circles as was the name of Isambard Kingdom Brunel a hundred years ago. Both reputations are well deserved, reflecting outstanding technical competence, creativity and commitment which have resulted in important advances in science and knowledge benefiting the lives of countless people.
Brunel University Library is based in the Bannerman Centre, at the heart of the campus, and contains the majority of resources needed to successfully work and study here. This includes over 458,000 books, 17,000 journal titles – of which 16,500 are electronic, 1200 study spaces and 280 PCs.
