Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem considers its role as to develop international relations in favour of improvement of expertise, knowledge and international reputation of professors, researchers and students. Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem aspires to develop co-operations promoting research and education in the field of international relations as well as to evolve different forms of mobility.
Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem reputation has been growing by the approx. 5000 international students, who graduated here. Since the 80′s regular full time programs in English have been offered in B.Sc, M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. Additional 3000 international students have joined the University programs in mobility schemes for one or two semesters.
The TBudapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem is among the first universities in Hungary to introduce the credit system. The university applies the credit assignment according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in its accredited academic programs.

The Central Library of Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem and a half centuries of history. 1848th May 9 at Eötvös József minister of culture sent a five-volume book is one of the forerunner of the Department, Joseph Ipartanodának that the book inventory of the library was registered as the first item. This date is considered the foundation of the library, which is the 1930s Hungary’s only natural science and technical reference library was.
