Dear Sir,

Subject: Requesting information about ‘Help the Old’
I am a resident of Model Town and came across your organization’s advertisement in the newspaper. I am part of the NSS group and my group is keen to help the old in whatever way it is possible.
I would like to know the ways in which we can contribute. I would appreciate if you could let us know the various programme that your organization conducts. Also inform us about the kind of services the aged need.
The students who are part of the NSS group after can offer their services by making fortnightly or monthly visits. We can spend some quality time by reading, cooking or shopping for them.
If you have any special requirement you can write to us. Our group is genuinely interested in bringing some smile to the faces of these people. If there is any printed brochure, you may send that across.

Yours sincerely,
Anjali Dewan

6. Stop Crowding Hamirpur
Good Morning

Respected Principal, teachers and my dear friends, I am standing before you to present my views on the overcrowding of our beautiful picturesque town of Hamirpur.
A decade back our town had already 15 lakhs people, today the population stands at 22 lakhs. The number of houses has doubled from 2 lakhs to 4 lakhs, The number of people who own a car in the town has gone up from 55 thousands to 90 thousands. All this has increased the pressure on water as well as electricity.
It is pathetic to note the deterioration in civic amenities and constant increase in pollution levels.
The town which had greenery, fresh air and peace has now got reduced to an overcrowded town with people jostling for even walking space on roads.
As citizens of this town we can’t let this happen. We need to come together and raise our voice against these destructive forces in the form of man’s greed and desire to acquire more. A small beginning can be made by keeping our surroundings, our school, our home, clean. I’m sure you will all agree with me,

Thank you.

17. Dear Diary
As a little baby when I was a few weeks old I met CH-teal. This cute creature came and lay down beside me. It was a very pleasant relationship that we shared in the coming 10 weeks.
Our minds could communicate with each other, I talked bout the human race, early man and his progress the growth of civilization as well as the steps taken by human beings towards industrialization. I told him about the various battles that were fought, a few were won and a few lost. I also told him about the snakes which according to us are wicked creatures.
My cute friend Ch-tsal told me about life on other planets and galaxies, the cities in outer space and the five ways of knowing God.
As we interacted with each other we became good friends. But I know no one would believe this delightful experience, everybody will only call me mad.
