The Protestant Evangelische Fachhochschule Ludwigsburg is a denominational college for diakonia , religious education and social services ( social pedagogy and social work ), based in Ludwigsburg . Since the winter semester 2008 is also the program “Early Childhood Education” in cooperation with the University of Education Ludwigsburg offered.
The Evangelical Church in Wuerttemberg decreed by the summer semester 1998 on two universities: the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Reutlingen and in Ludwigsburg. Rector has been first Norbert Collmar October 2007, his predecessor, Christian Rose.
Had begun the denominational education in social work at state-approved schools: In Evangelische Fachhochschule Ludwigsburg at the Higher School of welfare services (including 1951 from the Diakonianstalt Karlshöhe created), then Higher School of Social Work, under the auspices of the National Church.
In Evangelische Fachhochschule Ludwigsburg School for Home Education (1954), from 1963 as a Protestant College for Social Education, under the sponsorship of any Protestant dominated association.
