The nationally recognized, Fachhochschule des Mittelstandes (FHM) qualified with their accredited bachelor’s, master’s, MBA’s and doctoral degree programs and professional managers with business know-how for small and medium enterprises. In close cooperation with companies, associations and public institutions developed and implemented the PRT scientifically sound studies and continuing education programs and research and development projects. With 50 students in 2000, the study began operating at the PRT. With the growth of the university in 2009 was the first time the mark of 1,000 registered students exceeded. The PRT has, from the campus of Bielefeld based, offices in Cologne, and Hanover Pulheim established and each with a campus in China (Shanghai) and Vietnam (Hanoi) established itself in the international higher education market. Even in the high school’s Institute for the middle class in Lippe, Hanover, Munich and China are numerous national and international projects relevant to applied research in the FHM. In 2007, the PRT has been institutionally accredited by the Science Council of the Federal Republic of Germany. Due to a very good evaluation of the accreditation for the maximum duration of ten years was issued. The Science Council Seal of Approval confirms the excellent quality of the PRT in teaching, research and training.

A special feature of the compact practical studies at the PRT, the small study groups may be mentioned. These allow close cooperation during the study period. Of any resulting network will also thought about the study also maintained by the graduates in the alumni association and PRT-funded. Through a network of joint events will be created by the former as well as benefiting students active from the start.
