The Fachhochschule Ludwigshafen am Rhein in the European Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar located.

1965 marked the founding of the State Higher business school in Ludwigshafen. Fachhochschule Ludwigshafen was in 1971 as part of the Department Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences Rheinland-Pfalz . In 1976 there came to union with the Department of Worms , which lasted until 1991. The Fachhochschule Ludwigshafen in 1996 independently. 2004 a change took place on Bachelor – and Master ‘s degrees. 2008 was the merger with the Evangelical Fachhochschule Ludwigshafen (new Department IV).

The high school scoreboard introduces the Fachhochschule Ludwigshafen among all German universities, which have a controlling focus, ranked seventh.
