Inspired by Welsh hero Owain Glyndwr, we aim to be bold, inspiring and enterprising in everything we do. The University also offers excellent conference facilities and works with businesses to provide staff training and development.
Glyndwr University’s courses are in international demand. From London to the Far East, the University is developing a diverse and rich community of learning. Courses are taught at the London School of Management and Science and Blake Hall College and relationships in higher education are blossoming between Glyndŵr University and universities in Singapore and Vietnam.
Glyndwr University’s origins date back to the opening of Wrexham School of Science and Art (WSSA) in 1887. At this time Viriamu Jones called for a University of Wales.[citation needed] The WSSA began offering University of London degrees in Science in 1924. The original name of Wrexham School of Science and Art was changed several times.
