The Gustav-Siewerth-Akademie (GSA) is a private university with 16 students in winter semester 2010/11. a state recognition has, however, without doctorates, and is based in Weilheim -beer Bronnen in Waldshut in Baden-Wuerttemberg . The Academy is named after the philosopher and educator Gustav Siewerth .
The Gustav-Siewerth-Akademie was founded in 1988 under private ownership, legal and financial support is a non-profit limited liability company (Gustav Siewerth-house gGmbH ). The orientation of the Academy is predominantly Christian and Catholic. Although the academy is not denominational, it is a member of the Forum German Catholics. Gustav-Siewerth-Akademie sees itself as “a philosophical school, which arises in the interdisciplinary conversation between professors and students dealing with the modern social and natural sciences and the placement of a Christian worldview effort” and “to contribute to the re-Christianization of Europe on the basis of Western culture.”
The university, in addition to the rector, vice-rectors and deans of a university chancellor and a senate, is honorary Rector Albrecht Graf von Brandenstein-Zeppelin . Chancellor of the Academy is the Archbishop of Freiburg and head of the German Bishops’ Conference , Robert Zollitsch. The academy was created in an effort to neo-Marxism, the Frankfurt School of Theodor W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer counter. Two members of the Senate are the Opus Dei are related, three with the Association to promote the psychological knowledge of human nature . Alma von Stockhausen is committed to personally and publicly for this club and its successor organizations. The Academy maintains relations with the angels work .
