Haute École Francisco Ferrer de la Ville de Bruxelles, whose founder is the City of Brussels, has about 3000 students. It offers a comprehensive training in six categories (applied arts, economics, paramedical, educational, technical, translation and interpretation) in which it holds, according to the principles of the Bologna Process, a fifty-type short courses (Bachelor) and long (Master). Each of these curricula is based on three pillars: a strong theoretical component, practical training in which many professionals are involved, a work placement.

The library of the Haute École Francisco Ferrer de la Ville de Bruxelles is open to students, teachers and researchers of HEFFER and their counterparts in the European University Centre Wallonie Bruxelles. The library of the HEFFER is present on three locations – the site of the South Palace (headquarters of the library), the site and the site Lemonnier Brugmann – which each have collections of literature.
