The Hochschule für öffentliche Verwaltung Kehl is one of the two universities for public administration (FHöV) in Baden-Wuerttemberg. At the College studying government inspector candidates , the officials of the State of Baden-Wuerttemberg, and thus the runway for the higher non-technical management services have been hit.

The lectures are mainly in groups of approximately 30 students. Mass events with several groups are the exception.

The students should because of the theoretical-mediated analytical skills, knowledge and empowerment through practical work and are put in a position to systematically and with application-oriented research methodology in various professional fields of public service to be self-employed. A necessary part of this is to achieve understanding of the legal, political, economic and social contexts in national, European and international level and to the problems of administrative organization. This is personal for state and local governments to be trained, which is both on the individual personality as well as for general and professional knowledge and skills for the higher administrative services suitable and versatile.
