Hochschule Harz (FH)
The Hochschule Harz (FH) – School of Applied Sciences is a college in Saxony-Anhalt and has two locations. In Wernigerode are the departments automate and computer science and economics, in Halberstadt, Department of Management Sciences.
Hochschule Harz (FH) was founded in October 1991 as a “Fachhochschule Harz”. First there was the range of courses from economics , tourism and economic computer science at the Department of Economics in Wernigerode . With the winter semester 1991/1992 took 77 students on their studies. Meanwhile, six bachelor ‘s degree programs in economics offered and the number of students has grown to approximately 1,700 students today. With the two new courses “Business Consulting” and “Tourism and Destination Development” for the winter semester 2007/2008, was master program opens.
The most recent Department of the University and at the same second location is the Department of Administrative Sciences resin in Halberstadt . With the two programs of “public administration” and “Management Economics / Public Service Management” for the winter semester 1998/1999, higher education started in the public sector, now known nationwide as “Halberstadt” model. The company expanded its training courses offered by the “European Administrative Management” and “administrative management / e-government”. Hochschule Harz (FH) offered undergraduate bachelor ‘s degree programs at the Department of Administrative Sciences is the master ‘s program complements “Public Management”.
