Founded in 1966, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes is a great public school of engineering. Authorized by the SIC to award an engineering degree, it forms in five years post-baccalaureate degree and multidisciplinary engineers about 270 engineers per year in 6 specialties.
Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes is integrated into the Group INSA: 5 engineering schools (Lyon, Rennes, Rouen, Strasbourg, Toulouse) and two partner schools (ENSCI Limoges and Bourges ENSI). Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes is also a founding member of PRES UEB – European University of Brittany and network partner Universities of Technology (TU).
Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes is also a research center. Developed within 6 recognized laboratories and two graduate schools, its basic and applied research contributes to technology transfer to companies and research organizations worldwide. Built in Rennes-Atalante Technopole science and technology renowned and involved in six European Networks of Excellence and 4 clusters, Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Rennes forged links with industry to address the scientific challenges of tomorrow. Co-empowered to award the degree of doctor, she also trains for careers in research.
