Institut Superieur d’Agriculture et d’Elevage

The Institut Superieur d’Agriculture et d’Elevage(“ISAE” for its French acronym – “Institut Superieur d’Agriculture et d’Elevage”) was established in 1989 government of Rwanda as an autonomous institution of higher education, under the Ministry of Education with its own governing council.

The law establishing the creation and organization of ISAE was published in the official gazette no 17 bis of September 1st 2003. ISAE original mission was created to train highly qualified specialists, technicians, engineers as well as veterinary doctors, in various fields of agriculture and animal husbandry to serve the country and beyond.

Mission
To impart education in various branches of agriculture and animal husbandry at “A1” Advanced Diploma Level and “A0” Degree Level to a sufficient number of technicians engineers and veterinary Doctors and provide them with adequate skills to meet the requirements of their duties.

Vision
By the year 2010, Institut Superieur d’Agriculture et d’Elevage is committed to becoming a centre of high standards and influence in education, research, technology transfer in agriculture, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, agricultural products development and processing and to becoming a major player in rural economic transformation.
