Jaypee University of Information Technology

Set up by Act No. 14 of 2002 vide Extraordinary Gazette notification of Government of Himachal Pradesh dated May 23, 2002. Approved by the University Grants Commission under section 2(f) of the UGC Act. The University commenced academic activities from July 2002 with undergraduate B.Tech. degree programs in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Bioinformatics, and Civil Engineering (from July 2003). The University is offering M.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering), M.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering), M.Tech Construction Management, M.Tech. programme in Biotechnology and a 6 year dual degree B Pharm-M Pharm Practice.

Library
The Learning Resource Centre JUIT has a very active learning ambience. It is a Four floor library about 2500 sq feet of carpet area and is capable of accommodating 500 students at a time to carry out any kind academic activity and research such as reading books and journals, computer programming , software development etc. Its fully linked with JUIT internet and intranet.
