The Kaposvári Egyetem (KE), Pannon University of Agriculture Animal Husbandry Faculty (predecessor to the 1961-founded Kaposvári Higher Agricultural Technical School, the 1971st year 21. Legislative Decree created Kaposvári Agricultural College, and the 37/1986. (July 31st ) MF no. Regulation established Pannon University of Agricultural Sciences Animal Sciences, Kaposvár) and Csokonai Sir Michael’s Teacher Training College (predecessor of 1951, organized secondary public teacher training, which is 1959 higher education institutions, and the 1974th year No. 13. Legislative Decree 1975 from Teachers College was), and in 1971 founded Forage Production Research Institute (Iregszemcse), founded in 1959 and the Research Institute of Chemical Technology (MÜKKI, Veszprém) was formed with the integration. The MÜKKI 21/2003. (V. 26) Council Decision based on number of university 2004th January 1, particularly in the universities of Kaposvár.

The Kaposvári Egyetem creative predecessor institutions prior to the integration of education and research in several areas have successfully worked together. The main motivators for cooperation in areas of science literacy is a beneficial complement each other, teachers and researchers, particularly human rights and labor relations were good.

The Kaposvári Egyetem University in 2000, created institutional development plan for the Ministry of Education “A” (Excellent) rated. The institutional development plan, the university put its vision, its needed to complete science regional training and research, and service strategy and the necessary human resource development, infrastructure development concept.
