Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences
KGI educates future leaders of the bioscience industry through distinctive Professional Science Master’s and PhD programs offering integrated life science/engineering/business curriculums and focusing on industry projects and collaborations. Degree programs include our Master of Bioscience (MBS), Postdoctoral Professional Masters in Bioscience Management (PPM) and Post Baccalaureate Premedical Certificate Program.
Today the most exciting work in the life sciences, engineering, and management is happening in the biosciences industry. To translate new discoveries into applications that improve the human condition, industry demands a new kind of professional – scientifically proficient and managerially savvy.
The Claremont Colleges were formally established in 1925 under the direction of James Blaisdell, then President of Pomona College. In their constitution was a commitment to “found and develop new colleges and educational institutions or programs” as needs were identified and resources were made available.
KGI represents The Claremont Colleges’ first entry into graduate-level, application-based scientific research and education. It remains the only graduate institute in the country with this sole focus.
