The university offer specialisation in any one of the following five areas:
English Literature, Linguistics, Literary and Cultural Studies, Media and Communication, and Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL).
The university offers three kinds of M.A degrees:
Eligibility
Anyone who has completed his/her undergraduate degree in any discipline and manages to pass our common M.A entrance examination is eligible to join the Graduate programme. Your admission, initially, will be to the general MA programme; after spending a semester with us, you can decide on your area of specialization and the nature of your MA degree.
Casual Participants
If you wish to register for some courses, but do not wish to get a degree, you can do so. This is with respect to our MA level courses, and some of our research level courses, subject to the approval of the course/module instructor. As and when you choose to join the university as a regular participant, you can carry over these credits (maximum of 30) to your account, but will have to write and pass the entrance examination.
