McMaster University (commonly referred as McMaster or Mac) is a public research university whose main campus is located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 300 acres (1.2 km2) of land in the residential neighbourhood of Westdale, adjacent to Hamilton’s Royal Botanical Gardens.

Mission
The University Library advances teaching, learning and research at McMaster by:  teaching students to be successful, ethical information, seekers  facilitating access to information resources

Library
The libraries acquire print, non-print, and electronic materials from multiple sources. The acquisitions budgets for the University Library and Health Sciences Library are funded separately, and materials are ordered, received and processed independently as well.
