Ph.D in English, EFLU
The university offers Research at the Ph. D level in three areas:
- English Language Education
- English Literature
- Linguistics and Phonetics
Eligibility:
Linguistics and Phonetics You are eligible for the PhD programme if you have an MPhil degree in English from a recognized university OR if you have completed the coursework in the MPhil programme in English from CIEFL/EFL University with a minimum GPA of 3.00.
When can you apply?
Applications are sold along with those for the residential PhD programme, which is usually advertised in the month of April.
Mode of admission:
Admission for all the Ph. D programmes will be through a qualifying entrance test and an interview. Only those who will pass the entrance test, will be called for the interview.
Duration:
Minimum: Four years
Maximum: Eight years
