Ph.D Russian, EFLU

The university offers career and research opportunities for in-service teachers who are not in a position to undertake a full-time PhD programme owing to their professional and / or family obligations. The aim of the PhD programme through the Distance Mode is to provide an alternative mode for research at the highest level and to make a significant contribution to the professional and academic development of teachers.

Eligibility:
A person with any of the following qualifications can apply:

• MA in Russian with a First Class or Grade A average, OR
• MA in Russian with at least a Second Class or Grade B average andPGCT/PGDT with at least an overall grade C, OR
• MLitt /MPhil or an equivalent qualification in Russian, OR
• MA in Russian and a minimum of 7 years’ experience teaching the language at any recognized institution, AND
• You will be given admission to the PhD programme on the basis of your performance in a Written Test and an Interview

Duration:
The course work and the writing of the dissertation that follows will take a minimum of 2 years each. In all, it will take a minimum of 4 years.
