Punjab Technical University

Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was established in January 1997 for advancement of Technical Education. Being the educational and research university, it has the mandate to set up centres of Excellence in Emerging Technologies and for promoting Training, Research & Development in these areas.

Campus
PTU (which was until now running in a rented building) recently shifted to new and highly spacious campus at Kapurthala road, Jalandhar.

The university offers a number of AICTE and Non-AICTE courses[2] with an intake of more than 12,700 and total strength of 60,000 approximately.
