QUT provides a career-oriented education which helps graduates find employment in their chosen career, in an environment which uses the latest technology to make learning stimulating and enjoyable. QUT has close ties with government, industry and professional associations, thus ensuring our courses are relevant to the real world.
Over the years, QUT has grown and changed. From the establishment of the Brisbane School of Arts over 150 years ago, we have been at the forefront of innovation and progress in tertiary education. Although the name QUT has only been used for the last 21 years, the institutions that came before us made us the university that we are today.
The QUT Blueprint 2011 (PDF, 1.14MB) is the University’s five-year institutional strategic plan. It stands at the centre of a planning process that is underpinned by the QUT Quality Framework and based on a continuous cycle of Plan/Implement/Review/Improve.
The QUT Blueprint, revised during 2011 to reflect changes in the higher education environment, specifies QUT’s vision and goals.
