Ramapo College of New Jersey

Established in 1969 as a state-supported, co-educational, four-year College of liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in 1975. Reaccredited in 1981, 1990, 2000, and 2010. The Social Work Program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The Chemistry Program is approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS). The Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The Teacher Certification program is approved by the State of New Jersey and was granted “New Program Accreditation” by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC). In December, 2010, the Anisfield School of Business earned accreditation for its undergraduate business programs through the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

Ramapo College of New Jersey is a comprehensive institution of higher education dedicated to the promotion of teaching and learning within a strong liberal arts based curriculum, thus earning the designation “New Jersey’s Public Liberal Arts College.” Its curricular emphasis include the liberal arts and sciences, social sciences, fine and performing arts, and the professional programs within a residential and sustainable living and learning environment.
