Sardar Patel University

Sardar Patel University was established by an Act of the Legislative Assembly of the then Bombay Province in December 1955 and was recognised under 2f of the UGC Act in October 1968. Sardar Patel University is situated in Vallabh Vidyanagar. The educational township of Vallabh Vidyanagar is close to the Milk City of India (Anand) in terms of its strategic geographical location. Anand is on Vadodara-Ahmedabad line of the Western Railway in the heart of Anand District of Gujarat.
Sardar Patel University comprises of 25 Postgraduate Departments, a constituent college, and 70  colleges affiliated to it.
