Somerset Chrisitan College is an educational ministry of the Pillar of Fire, International. The Pillar of Fire was organized in 1901. It is an evangelical organization with theological roots in the Methodist Episcopal Church and the nineteenth century American Holiness Movement.

SCC is a new college being built on an old foundation. For over a century, the college has offered biblically-sound courses teaching men and women how to serve God, society and the church in a wide variety of fields. Since 2001, SCC has been the only evangelical college chartered by the State of New Jersey. Along with professional accreditation, Somerset is authorized to offer federal, state and institutional financial aid.

We are also near the most densely populated urban area of the United States. Our vision embraces dozens of communities that are plagued with chronic, crippling urban problems; we need not look beyond 20 miles from Zarephath to find those problems. It seems to me that followers of Jesus should be the most capable and most interested in addressing the biggest problems of the day.

Through godly instructors, rich curricula in career-shaping majors, spiritually enthusiastic students, valuable, enriching internships, and global learning experiences, SCC offers you all you need to be equipped for your best future.
