Swansea University is a traditional university, founded by Royal Charter in 1920. Our international outlook and collaborative links with industry ensure that our degrees meet employers’ needs, and that our world-class research has real impact.

The University continues to invest heavily. In the last year, we have appointed nearly 100 new academic staff and a recent strategic review resulted in measures that will ensure Swansea’s continued development: we have streamlined our management structure and consolidated several areas of academic activity to focus on our strengths.
