You cannot study and learn well if your mind is half asleep. You require an alert mental condition with eagerness to absorb new facts or ideas. Once you are aware of these facts, you can turn them to your advantage.

One Exercise to improve the alertness of your mind is to concentrate your thoughts for sometime on one topic, not allowing distractions to interfere. Bring your mind  back sharply whenever it attempts to wander.

That exercise will force tou to introduce new approaches to the subject. You will be compelled to go beyond the familiar thoughts that habit has created. At the same time your concentration power will improve.

Another GOOD exercise is to watch your speech carefully to avoid the use of catchy phrases. Such expressions are very numerous are very numerous, such as “I would not know” and “You must be joking”.

They often spring spontaneously to the lips, indicating a sleeping mind unwilling to think for itself.

Keep your mind alive by never ceasing to study. Something new is to be learned in many situations if you are on the look out for improvement.

Believe that you can succeed in your studies. Never think about the possibility of failure. Your subconscious mind will prepare you for whatever you are genuinely interested in. Kepp talking and thinking success and the way to it will open out as you progress in your studies.
