Université Amar Telidji
From 1986 to 2001, the University of Laghouat has certainly been progress related to the development of the city of Laghouat.
A new administrative center of the wilaya returned in 1974, it currently enjoys all the conveniences of a modern city, which in addition to its role agropastoral secular appropriated potential energy and industry with the discovery and exploitation of the deposit gas in Hassi R’mel become a major attraction. Promoted university town in the framework of decentralization to the wilaya, she has benefited from the creation of a Teacher Training College in 1986.
On May 10, 1997, ENSET was converted into the University Center in accordance with Decree No. 157-97 of May 10, 1997, Consisting of four (4) Institutes: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Economics.
Library
The opening of the library was with the establishment of ENST (Ecole Normal Higher Technical Education) in 1986, it grows with the University Center in 1997 and thereafter with the University in October 2001, date of installation the foundation stone for the construction of a library of 500 square Central University. The inauguration in September 2005.
