Université de Béjaïa
Although born late (1983) compared to its past scientific and cultural renowned University of Bejaia, a public institution of higher education under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, was able to grow and pass from a staff of 205 students taught by 40 teachers in its openness to a workforce of 22 792 students and 698 teachers in 2006. This growth could be achieved with a judicious diversification of its industries and options.

The University Library of Bejaia provides such readers, fund of over 40,141 titles, 9 226 theses and dissertations, 908 journals, 2,891 scientific papers, and a network access to databases Data on the Internet.
