The University of M’sila began in 1985 by opening an institute of higher education in mechanics, followed by 1989 by those of civil engineering and urban management techniques. In 1992 She became academic center and 2001 She accessed the status of University with four faculties and 23 departments.

Are also found within the university seven research laboratories accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is already known for the quality of its teaching to the number of 548 that provide education to 15,000 students in several areas, with the aim of modernity in education.

Founded in 1985, INES Draa el Hadj. Transfers in 1990 at the university center of M’sila, then a third time has its headquarters. Currently the overall background of the Central Library beyond the 160000 books 30000 titles covering all branches taught at the University of M’sila: 60% background literature is in Arabic and 40% foreign language, mostly in French, English, one hundred books in Spanish and Russian.
