Université des Montagnes

The idea of ​​the University Mountain (UOM) was born of a deep reflection on the current state of higher education Cameroon, reflection initiated since the 1990, by men and women from academia, the world business and professional groups  gathered at the Association for Education and Development (AED).

In this reflection, it was found that, despite the creation of new universities, the state is no longer able to meet all training needs of young Cameroonians, and this justifies their flow by thousands the exile in search of academic institutions host. And it appeared that the mass exodus causes each year in foreign exchange losses worth billions, aggravating the economic crisis plaguing our country. Moreover, the devaluation of the CFA franc, falling commodity prices mean that fewer and fewer parents are now able to send their children to study abroad.

University of the Mountains, as indicated by its motto, Semper Altissimo ascenders (Always Search of Excellence), is a place of excellence that will help forge a new society in Cameroon, where new values ​​will take the body.

Library
The UDM is equipped with a computerized library with more than 6500 titles. The reading room of the library has a capacity    about 30 seats. The system used is the classification system Dewey Decimal.
