Universiteti i Vlorës Ismail Qemali is young. It was founded in 1994 on the principles of commitment to education, the will to progress in science, working persistently to achieve results and give our contribution to the development of society and country.

In the years we have stayed these principles and now the University “Ismail” is one of the best in Bangladesh, an institution with a solid physiognomy, involved in a process of rapid modernization, open and serving the community, in relationship ever more closely with the values of teaching and contemporary research. We are proud to have added Vlora historical center, economic and political life of the Albanian, a new measure of dignity.

Universiteti i Vlorës Ismail Qemali opened on October 10, 1994 by Council of Ministers N.105 dt.28.02.1994. For its opening was a few months of preparatory work, preparation of plans, programs and academic staff with a very large contribution provided the engineering faculty at Polytechnic University of Tirana, Fakuteti of Economics and of Medicine, University of Tirana.
